Important Information

Medical Details

Running and Walking events can be strenuous activities and therefore all participants must ensure that they are sufficiently fit, in good physical and mental health, and capable of participating in the Event without causing harm to themselves or others. We recommend you seek all necessary medical advice, recommendations and clearances before arriving at and participating in the event. Please also ensure you stay well hydrated in the days leading up to the event and throughout the course, apply sunscreen regularly, and take appropriate safety precautions on the day. 

All participants must write their emergency contact details on the back of their race bib. This is a compulsory safety requirement.

Can I fundraise for a charity?
Yes! Sydney Children’s Hospital Foundation is our chosen charity partner for this event. Find out more here. There are two ways you can support this worthwhile – donate directly or fundraise (see below).

Half Marathon – course cut-off time 3.5 hours

All other runs – TBC

Medical & Emergency Procedures
  • Please write your emergency contact info on the back of your bib – it’s compulsory.
  • Follow the instructions of staff, volunteers and medical teams at all times.
  • If you need to withdraw from the race you MUST tell a course marshall or volunteer. This is so we don’t go searching for you later!
Conditions / Weather Plan
  • All participants are responsible for their own hydration, sun protection, and safety.
  • The event will run rain or shine. Participants will be notified with any course or event changes.
Wheelchairs / Prams / Dogs
  • Wheelchairs are welcome at the Community Walk. Wheelchairs are welcome at the running events, but please contact us to let us know what type of chair you will be using via email at info@runwayrun.com.au
  • Prams are welcome at the Community Walk. Prams are not permitted in any of the running events.
  • Dogs (or any animals) are not permitted due to restrictions relating to the runway. Service dogs, however, are allowed.

    Do you have minimum ages for your events?

    Community Walk: All ages welcome
    Half Marathon: The minimum age is 17
    14km: The minimum age is 15
    7km: The minimum age is 12
    4km: The minimum age is 6

    When do entries close?

    Unfortunately the event has now hit capacity and has sold out.

    Can I change my race distance?

    Unfortunately due to logistics and the event being at capacity, you are unable to change distances.

    Spectators

    Are spectators allowed at the event?

    Due to the event reaching full capacity:

    ❌ No spectators are permitted at the event
    ❌ Only registered participants with a valid ticket may enter

    ⚠️ Anyone without a valid event ticket will not be permitted entry to the venue

    Race Bibs / Postage

    What if my bib doesn't arrive before race day?

    If you have not received your bib via post before race day:

    • Proceed to the Bib Collection Area within your allocated time window
    Can I skip the bib collection queue?

    Avoid lining up on event day and have your race bib delivered straight to your door!

    How to purchase:

    Once purchased, your race bib will be posted to the address provided during registration.

    Where will my bib be posted? (Check your address!)

    If you selected bib postage, your race pack will be sent to the address in your registration.

    How do I update my address?
    1. Log into Race Roster
    2. Go to My Registrations
    3. Select your event
    4. Click Edit Registration
    5. Update your address and save

    IMPORTANT

    • Updates close: Sunday 12th April at 11.59pm
    • Incorrect addresses may result in delayed delivery or event-day collection
    Can I pick up my bib before event day?

    Skip the event day queues and collect your bib early at the below times. You will also receive a 10% discount to use in store at the time of registering!

    Merchandise

    What is included with my entry?

    Half marathon entrants will receive an Official Event T-shirt. There is no included merchandise for other events.

    Can I purchase merchandise?

    Official Event T-shirts, Hoodies and Hats are available for purchase during registration or in the official event store. Official Runway Run BibSNAPS are also available for purchase during registration or in the event store.

    How do I get my merchandise?
    • Collect any pre-purchased or included merchandise –  (Have QR Code confirmation ready)
    • No merchandise will be sent out prior to the event

    Medals

    Commemorative Medals

    All participants in the running events and Community Walk will receive an exclusive commemorative medal to remember this special event.

    Getting to the start line / Pre-Event Info

    Shuttle Buses

    Shuttle services will operate continuously between Penrith Station and Western Sydney International Airport, supporting participant transport to and from the event.

    Operating hours are from 5:00am to 5:00pm, with services aligned to race start times to ensure participants arrive with sufficient time before their race.

    All shuttle buses must be pre-booked online (No booking = no seat). Each ticket is valid for one seat, and all passengers, regardless of age, must have a confirmed booking in advance.

    Shuttle Bus Pricing:

    • Adults: $10
    • Children (3–16): $5
    • Under 3: Free (must still be booked)

    Event Parking

    Due to the unique nature of this venue and planning requirements, parking at the airport is strictly limited and must be booked in advance. While parking is free, it is only guaranteed for those with a confirmed reservation.

    ⚠️Important Booking Rules:

    No Booking, No Entry: Once our parking allocation is full, there will be no further opportunity to park at the airport on event day.

    Allocation Details: If your booking is successful, you will receive your specific parking lot assignment and arrival instructions during the week prior to the event.

    Ride Share / Uber / Drop Off Zone
    A designated Ride Share, Uber and carpool drop-off and pick-up zone will be located on Warami Dr. This location will be registered across Google Maps, Waze and Uber for easy navigation. Traffic controllers will be on site to assist with vehicle flow and ensure safe access.

    In the event of congestion, vehicles may be redirected to nearby roads. Participants are encouraged to follow all event signage and directions from traffic staff to locate the correct pick-up area.

    Bike Riding To The Event

    Bike access to the event is currently to be confirmed.Participant safety is our top priority. With high volumes of vehicle traffic, including cars, shuttle buses and ride share services, we are carefully assessing whether bike access can be accommodated safely.Further updates will be provided closer to event day.

    Course information

    The Runway Course is a 7km loop

    • The Half Marathon will complete three laps of the runway course (with a little extra value at the south-western end) 😉
    • The 14km run will complete two laps of the course
    • The 7km run will complete one lap of the course
    • The 4km run is one lap of a smaller loop
    Start Times

    Event start times will be allocated pre-event.

    Will there be a pre-event briefing?

    Yes! Pre-event briefings will be held 15 minutes prior to your race start time.

    Aid Stations / Hydration / Toilets
    • Half Marathon 21.1: There are 2 aid stations on the run course, which you will pass 6 times.
    • 14km: There are 2 aid stations on the run course, which you will pass 4 times.
    • 7km: There are 2 aid stations on the run course, which you will pass 2 times. 
    • 4km: You will not pass the aid stations.
    • There will be water and hydration available at the aid stations
    • Toilets / portaloos will be available at the event hub
    • Bins will be provided at the event hub. Please ensure all rubbish goes in the bin.
    Will there be pacers?

    No, unfortunately there are no pacers for this event.

    Bag Restrictions
    • Bag sizes are limited to 30cm x 40cm
    • All bags are subject to security checks on entry
    • There will be no baggage storage available, and any unattended bags will be removed by security

    Bag Drop

    There is no bag drop service available.

    Will there be food and drink available for purchase on the day?

    There will be no food or drink available on site.

    Results & Timing

    Official Results

    Results for the runs will be available after the event at www.multisportaustralia.com.au

    There is no timing for the Community Walk.

    If you have any questions or notice any issues with your results, please reach out directly to Multisport Australia for assistance.

    There are no podium prizes.

    Sustainability & Community

    BibSNAPs
    We use reusable BibSNAPs at our events to reduce landfill waste. You can find out more here. Official Runway Run BibSNAPs can be purchased with your entry, or through the event store here.
    Waste Management
    • We are aiming to reduce the number of single-use cups at our events. Bringing your own cup, flask or bottle is a great way to help with this.
    • Don’t litter! There will be plenty of bins on course for participants to use to make sure we are not having a negative impact on the environment.
